Guided Tours of Etzanoa

Experience the Great Settlement where history meets the landscape.

Join us for a guided tour of Etzanoa and explore the land where one of North America’s most remarkable ancient settlements once thrived. Led by knowledgeable guides, these tours offer an engaging introduction to the history, archaeology, and ongoing discoveries shaping our understanding of the Great Settlement.

Tours combine short walks, scenic views, and multiple site visits around Arkansas City—bringing Etzanoa’s story to life in a way that can only be experienced in person.

Tour Details

  • Tour Cost: $10 per person (Children ages 5 and under attend free)
  • Tour Season: April through October
  • Tour Schedule:
    • 1st Saturday of each month: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • 3rd Saturday of each month: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • 3rd Wednesday of each month: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    •  (No tours will be held on June 6th.)
  • Group Size:
    Tours are limited to 15 participants.
    For groups of 16 or more, please call the Etzanoa Conservancy to inquire about availability.
  • Transportation & Accessibility:
    • A personal vehicle is required.
    • Tours include multiple stops around Arkansas City.
    • Some locations require walking and are not accessible by vehicle.
  • Weather Policy:
    Tours may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather.
